That's ok...at least I have a SHIFT key...
I didn't know that made manual computers...

The diconect axles, what disconnects on those the driveshafts? Will a front Aussie do well in the snow when 4wd is engaged?

They made them...they were called typewriters..lol

Yes, the passenger side axle disengages, you can tell if you have one by looking for a housing with vacume hoses coming from it.

As far as in the snow, I have no experience but have heard it just takes getting used to.

Small axles, thin tubes, and small gears = Pow, Crack, Boom
Bro, I've been running my D35 locked for 4-5 years now with no problems. Agreed, they are not real strong but I'm running 33"s without any issue. Think about it, if you're not going any taller that 33"s and are'nt going to be jumping it, then you should be ok, remember spare shaft's are a dime a dozen. If you wanted to, it could be trussed for extra strength as well as upgrading the shafts.
. If you feel you "need" a 44, well thats fine, it's just an added layer of protection and a bit more money.
As far as the front goes, you may get a little feedback from the locker during tight turns at low speeds but that should be it. Personally I'd upgrade to TJ shafts and a locker and call it good.
I feel it's all a matter of preference myself.
