Arb compressor

Well thinkin my compressor for my lockers bit the bullet. Tried messing with the pos and neg wires and didn't change anything. Then I swapped out the relay for it. Still no change. Was on the fritz last Wheelin trip and was turning on and off whenever it wanted to. Now I'm just wondering if its the wiring or the compressor itself. Does anyone have a setup that's currently working that I can hook it up to and see if its shot? Just wanting to know if ill have to buy a new one is all.
TIA

think I got one lying around if ya need another

Okay, a bit of advice assuming you get it running.
Remove the resevoir (airtank) and inspect it for rust. If there's any in there at all you should use a wire wheel to remove it and a good rust inhibitor too.

The rust will break off and clog up your lines and the small air passage in the locker itself. Seen it before.

If the compressor is beyond repair lemme know. I'll get ya link for a replacement (Don't forget to PM me for your supporting member discount code too.)

Would it attempt to turn on if it were clogged? Because as it sits when I press the switch nothing at all happens. I'll pull it out when i get off work and dig into it.

Led i may take you up on that! Thanks fellas.

No, it's just something to look at.

Keep in mind that your ARB compressor is controlled by 2 switches.
The Isolation Switch allows the compressor to be energized as needed and the pressure switch that brings the compressor on based on the system pressure.

To test the compressor disconnect the connector shown above and apply 12v + to the red wire and ground out the black wire. if the compressor starts then your problem is elsewhwere.

Electrical Wiring 101
If a known voltage is applied to a load and the load fails to operate then the load is bad.

Hey Kiefer, you can always come up to my place and we'll plug yours into my setup to see if it works. I can you troubleshoot it too.

Rich I may take ya up on that offer since your right down the street from my work. But.... I am not Driving this week so it'll have to be next week if you are available
