Just need a diamension.

Drivers side if you know your axle length or its uncut or not shortened and you know the yr and madel info from it.

I need the length from the outside end of tube (just feed the tape in to the tube from inside the housing, and measure out to the face of the bearing cap closest to the carrier.

Also pass side if poss.

Thanks

Dutchman says this is accurate for measuring for axles with no Inner c's or carrier

I got these diamensions dirrectly from Dutchman and they reference the D60. Inside it to end of spline total and outside "HSx" is to tube end givin that the Inner C is flush with tube, and total is to CL of knuckle/ujoint. I believe this should be on the Dana 60 tech on pirate but oh well..

that looks like a rear axle my friend........

what kind of outers are you gonna run on this thing?

that is what is going to determine your shaft lengths after you decide how wide you want the whole deal to be.

As per Dutchman, been around for a little while, been building axles as long as most anyone else and much longer then jack, just FYI....

Yep they use a generic picture for both. The ends dont matter since you are measuring to End of Tube.

Well the 2.5 is a standard D60 end of tube to CL of knuckle/ujoint diamension. So it really doesnt matter whose Inner C's you run, they all are said to use stock diamensions, If you get them for the Dana 60.

I am running Dedenbear/reid racing.

The outers and inners dont determine a thing, those are preset in stone If you run a Dana 60. The tube length is what is going alter and "determine your shaft lengths "

after re-reading your post i see some more here.....

are you going to make it match a ford or chevy length front 60 on the short side?

or are you going for custom length?

Well first plan was not to care what length, just make it fit my application best I can. But now I am thinking if I only have to change the WMS by say .25-.75" total to get at least one stock length shaft (either pass or drivers) then I will.

As it stands I think I MAY be able to do a stock ford short side inner. will knwo more when I get home today and do more measuring.
