Nothing new, he's bee the same for the past 10 years or more. His views are basically keep the feds out of the states business vs now where they bribe, threaten and cajole with tax money held hostage.
Historically mainstream media has picked specific bytes to make him out to be fool because he scares the crap out of liberals.
