Anyone up for Wheeler Lake on the 19th?

I really wanna wheel something this saturday and was hoping to get a little goup going. We could all meet at the trailhead at 10ish on the 19th. I will be leaving from the springs around 7:30-8AM. If you wanna wheel just reply to this post!

I just my junk back together and still need to get it aligned in the morning. Wheeler is a great trail, evil, but great none the less.

So we went and had a sweet time, my friend put his 96' onto it's side(that's another story, but all in all it was sweet. I REALLY don't understand the idiots that start going up that trail at 3:30 in the afternoon. A mean thunderstorm w/ lightening was rolling up the valley, and it just makes it difficult to drive down. I will probably post up pics soon.

Well, okay. You know the turn off that goes to the very end of the basin instead of going up to Wheeler lake? we he was using that turn off to get out of the way for the idiot people that do that trail at 3 in the afternoon. on the downward part of the T in the trail he pulled over too far first off. I yelled to him "what are you doing, your already out of the way" so he then decided to try and pull out ( by the way he was already half way off the trail, and his friend that was riding shotgun didn't say a word like " hey were kinda close over here" ) well the rocks were so big on the edge that he sliped trying to go forward so he threw it in reverse(thinking the road was right behind him) and back basically enough off the edge to roll the XJ onto its side. luckily his doors were off and he landed in those super thick bushes that line the whole road so he only got a couple dents and a shattered windshield. then get this I had to drive back up to wheeler lake to get a 4runner that had a ARB bull bar w/ a winch to help me get him back up right. Even more lucky was that his jeep started right up after 45 minutes of being on its side. He was burning some oil for a while but everything turned out REALLY well. so thats the story. Definitely not a roll over from the trail obstacles just stupidity and a poor passenger/spotter. pretty good story though right?
