I saw a maaco yellow one for sale in Modesto this weekend with a 44. It looks like an 87-88 and It looks like you could get it cheap.

I have a friend that came with me on the Rubicon trip a week ago and loved what a properly setup xj can do on the rocks. Do you by chance have a phone# of the person selling it? I live in Citrus Heights and would need a # rather than just heading down to Modesto. Thanks for the info and the good eye.

954-0444 Was all that was in the window, and I think 209 is the area code down there.

Thanks alot. I'll forward this on to my friend and get more details. Was this xj pretty stock with fresh yellow paint? Having a rear dana 44 really increases its value, though it's not hard at all to swap 1 in later, but if it's factory that's better anyways I think.

If it is the one that I see around town then it is always in the Lowes parking lot. Either the guy works there or at one of the other stores nearby.

The one in the Lowes parking lot is white and he does work there at the hot dog place in front.

Troy, if your friend is interested my 98' is for sale at what I think is a failry good price $6500. TRhis will come with all that I have got even some extra tires and stuff. Longarms and the rear coil that is not installed yet.

Sounds like a very good deal on your 98'. I would be very interested in it personally but have to replace the tranny in my 98' grand cherokee. I was going to sell it and get another xj for a dd, but now that I will have another tranny put in it and the $$$, I'll probably end up keeping it. I'll let my friend know. Does it have 35" tires, etc? What mods are on it and how many miles etc?

Robs got a # of xj/mj in his arsenal so I'm sure he has a back up to his 98'.

Would you be interested in trading for my 94' Wrangler straight up, Rob? Here is a link to some pics and mod desc: http://jeep-classifieds.com/classifieds/viewad.asp?id=13823&from=account

I just added a new exhaust and have the Chevy air box, but need to hook up the air box, evap canister, and get the timing adj slightly to get it smog legal. It is very set up and will be a fun trail vehicle. I drove it as a dd for a few months, but now that I'm so much into xj, it's been sitting for sale. Let me know what you think.

The Jeep is for sale but not overly active in finding a buyer. I just bought a boat and so I was looking for a truck to pull it with, the XJ could handle it if I just do something with the brakes but the trailer seems to want to push when I want to stop for some reason :laugh3:

Trading for the YJ would be fun just because it would be a new vehicle to drive but I think that it needs some larger tires. I will think about though just for the fun of it.

If I end up not finding a truck that I really want ( I have been renting some lately and I cannot find one that I really love) I may end up just doing some big upgrades to handle the boat.

Billy, how is the full width treating you? Do you wish you cut them down or are you happy?

I agree that it could use larger tires. 37" mtrs would look awesome on it, or at least 35's. The previous owner of it loves 33" I guess. Let me know if you want to take it for a spin, it is fast and fun especially out here in Cali.
