Not true. Thats just how it has fallen this year for the fall run. But yes Gilmer is the ROM Event evry year. Makes it easy on the whole chapter by doning it that way.

EDIT: It look's like I missed the "official events sticky" which lists Gilmer as an official event for Memorial Day weekend. I thought that we only had 2 official events per year.

Well thats because its a UFWD event and we are supposed to be a part of them too.
OH and BTW this years fall run WAS going to be at K-Rocks but as you know they are closing and Hot Springs was a fall back location. Plus this chapter was founded in 2007, so thats only 2 years into the chapter. Who knows what will happen in the future with the location of our runs? Now if the chapter was 10 years old and thats the ONLY places we have EVER been to then it might be safe to say that we olny go to Hot Springs or Gilmer. We have posted up many runs in the "official events sticky" but those have passed and were deleted.
Yes the ROM will try to be held every year at Gilmer... but like I, as has many others, had said that it is our most central park to the whole chapter so trying to keep it fair to all. The fall run is going to be moved around but since we have a trail out at Super Lift that no one has maintained we kinda need to go out there and do some kind of showing and work on the trail a lil.
We, the BOD, are trying hard to please eveyone but that is next to impossible due mainly to the sheer size of our chapter. Also as noted in past posts if you are putting together a local run and want it up on the "official events sticky" just let one of us know and it will be done. Honestly I am not sure why the May K-Rocks run is not up there... I guess we have slacked off a lil bit but have to remeber we do this in our spare time and I know that all of us BOD have been having a few things going on outside of
that, sorry to say this but, is a lil important at this time.
