Anyone in Iowa looking for extra money?

I am trying to get my XJ ready for the MIOBI event at the end of the month, but with my work schedule I dont have any spare time, and I changed jobs so I lost my shop space. I am looking for someone that has a little fabrication and welding skills. I dont have a rear tow point on my jeep, so I would like some one to finish a rear bumper for me. I have one cut from a piece of 2x6 tubing that I think will work I just need some brakets welded on and maybe some sort of D-rings or something. If someone has the ability and would like alittle extra money, let me know.

if you have access to a receiver hitch, just throw that under there to get ya by. I have ran up there with a receiver as my pull point and got by fine. One of the local guys I wheel with has a welding and fab shop, but we are about 2.5 hours from ya, so not much help on that for ya. We are going to be wheelin MIOBI on Saturday of the memorial day run, when are you thinking about coming down? If you were closer I would help y aout. If you feel like making a road trip (probably not since your already short on time) we can get ya taken care of.

Yeah a reciever hitch is going to be my last resort. I looked under the rear, are they a pain to install on a xj or am missing something? Didnt really see anything to bolt it to. I am hoping to get down there Sat, Sun, and Mon, but I may have to work Saturday.( won't know til Friday night for sure.)

If I wasn't pushing myself to get my junk done I could whip something up. But get a hitch its good to have anyways. They are easy to do, pull bumper off, slide nut strips in 'frame', bolt hitch on and bolt bumper back on. In a nut shell thats what it is...andy

What about Simon Welding, or Parker? I need to play with the welder and get some more experience.

Yeah I thought about Parker or Simon welding, but they are not open before I go to work or when I get back home. I leave for work at 5:00 in the morning and usually dont get back home til 7:30 or 8, six days a week. Thats why I am scrambling to get things done now.
