Albeit they are heavy. Weight really isn't my concern, considering its not a trail rig, I'm not putting bigger tires on, and the t19/dana18 combo really isn't geared (no pun intended) twords weight savings either. I certainly don't plan on running it down the 1/4mi either. Truthfully, my concerns are in reliability, driveability, cost and engine bay cosmetics. Not in that particular order but the 2.5 fits the bill. Ecotecs are great, so are OHC Honda engines, but I really don't want one under the hood of this (or any) jeep. 2.5 parts are cheap, they're dependable, they make good torque, it'll move that little flattie around like no ones business, it'll be easy to work around as far as fitment goes, there's a good aftermarket behind it for adaptability. Just put back and forth to my shop, maybe do some advertising in the parade with it. Just something so people turn their head and look at it.
