Not a problem, any questions just post up... I am sure a few of us will be around.
well.....here goes....
front went in fine. ZJ springs and spacers, no problem....only took about 1 1/4 hours (45 minutes for the passenger, 1/2 hour once we figured out some tricks)
and on to the back...worked on it for 4 hours before we finally gave up after hitting the following snags:
-not having a high enough jack
-having problems undoing the clamps holding the leafs together
-taking out the front bolt (wouldn't come out, then we spent another 45 minutes trying go get it back in (wouldnt line up with the hole))
-tried to remedy this by taking out the rear bolt, but the bolt part was towards the inside and was only about 1 1/2 inches away from the hitch
-finally got leaf bolts back in, got leafs apart, starting stacking leafs, realized i didn't get new u-bolts and it was 10 minutes before O'Reillys closed, so tried to put just the AAL in, and because we didn't unbolt the shock, we couldnt get the frame high enough/axle low enough to get the new, longer pin, in.
-said screw it and put it back to stock, since i had to be at work at midnight, going to go at it again sometime this week.
so all in all, i need:
-undo shocks to let axle droop lower
-get a higher lifting jack
-get longer u-bolts
-get some sleep!
now the jeep sits at a rake, because there's 3" lift in the front and stock in the back!!! grrrr......
stock tires and 4.5''? pfft i ran 6.5" and 30"s and thats daily driven right thereBoo Hoo... I ran and wheeled with 4.5" of lift and 29" all seasons on mine. I have pictures to prove it.
