i know i do and was hoping for some guidence from someone who has changed theres before or wants to do it together
Do yourself a favor and clean the underside of the oil pan/engine first. a day at least before tearing into it and wear eye protection.
i don't even know why you're bothering replacing it. I'm not an engineer, but this engineering flow chart has helped me for years:

it looks to me like maybe the back half of the oil pan needs a little duct tape?
maybe spray some wd40 on it beforehand?
edit: i plan on beating this stupid pic like a dead horse until everyone hates seeing it. it makes me laugh every time.
if you have to ask then you shouldnt do it. Id fill the engine with 15w40 and see how it runs from there. If it misfires then fix all those problems before you think about a rebuild. Then when all the driveability problems are fixed then consider a rebuild. These things last forever. I have one with 275k on it, running on 15w40 with 40 psi cold idle, 25ish hot idle. gets 21 mpgs.i kinda wanna rebuild my whole motor since it isnt a dd anymore how long would something like that take??and cost???
