Anybody want to go Pull-n-Save scrounging Saturday AM?

I need a few interior pieces and was going to hit the Denver yards Saturday AM (10/31). I have been brushing up on my Spanish. Anybody want to tag along?

I may be in. I need some disc brake conversion parts and an axle to replace my bent 35c shaft till I can get my hands on a C8.25.

And maybe a second front driveshaft for a SYE kit in the future.

And maybe an overhead console.

And maybe a couple replacement ashtrays and the center console bracket.

And maybe...maybe its time to go.

Can anybody recommend the best yards to visit. Living in NorCo, we pretty much only have Andersen's in Greeley, and they are really picked over.

Are you in for Saturday?

I need to get done early so I figured starting at the one by I-25 & I-70 at 8:30 and hopefully finish up by noon, covering as many lots as needed to find what I want.

Too bad I'm busy this weekend B/C I need to hit up the salvage yards to get ahold of Two Ford superduty drive shafts to make heavy duty ones for when I do the new t-case since the Ford superduty has the 1350 cardan shafts they are cheap and easy to cut and slip heavy tube over and make cheap beefy shafts with ,but the catch is I need the free time to go to the yard ...:dunce:

When can you guys give me a go/no go?

I'm in!

You are starting here?
390 W. 66TH WAY
DENVER, CO 80221

It would be nice to have your cell number, PM on its way.

I'm in, but it looks like the recent cold finished off my battery, so a jump and battery swap at autozone might put me behind schedule in the morning. I'll shoot you both my cell number. Feel free to call or text in the morning or reply to the PM and I'll keep you updated as to when I get out of longmont. Worst case I'll meet you at the second place.

'Twas a good day! I did not find any hen's teeth or Unicorn farts, but Tom did find that elusive arm rest, and B&B XJ did harvest one of the fabled KXZJ 8.25" axles. :D

I'll revive the junkyard thread later tonight.

These are my go-to yards. All are open on Sundays.

LKQ Pick your Part yards: (2 locations in Denver)

Pull and Pay yards: (2 locations, one Denver, one Aurora)

Good list, I ended up hitting these two yards on the North end of town today. Been a while since I've been out yard hopping.

LKQ paid out. I just needed a crankcase breather and a few bolts. Guy at the counter just let me have them, which is always nice. I'll tell you what, people must know something about the 4.7 that I do not. Every V8 WJ at Pull and Pay was completely stripped of the motor. The rest of the drivetrain just laying around in piles. There were a lot less at LKQ but also mostly stripped. I got lucky and found one intact to grab the parts I needed.

This '05 Renegade at Pull and Pay still had a complete 8.25 w/Trac-Lok I believe.
