Anybody in Gold Country have a MT-2500 or equivalent?

Hi Guys,

Son just bought a 89 XJ the dealership did a full tune up, so I see all new plugs, wires rotor and cap. But it has a rough idle and exhaust smells rich. I can meet up anywhere if somebody has the ability to look at sensors.

I am in El Dorado Hills.

Check the firing order first. Good luck.

coolant temp sensor and 02, along with vacuum leaks and exhaust leaks could cause it to be rich. I dont have a MT2500. what injectors are the rig ?

Wish I had one.... I don't know much about the renix stuff but am in EDH if you ever need another set of eyes

Thanks, it's actually my XJ, I will try to figure out how to test them, I have a hunch it's the O2 sensor. Need to have you come by some time if your ever up in the EDH or Folsom area.

Doubt it but if they are the same part numbers as an 2001 xj I have some o2 sensors lying around. They are like new and we could give it a try. Those things are price to just buy on a hunch

He hasan 89. Only has 1 o2. Ngk are cheap for renix. Around 40$
