Anybody have experience with CAVFAB mid-frame stiffeners?

I am looking at CAVFAB's product, here, as well as ruffstuff's, here.

The CAVFAB looks interesting because it doesn't have the large D shaped holes. I want my frame rails to look original, so I would have to do less filling with the CAVFAB pieces.

But yeah, I am not sure as I've never heard of them. If you have any experience with their products, let me know :)

I don't have any experience with CavFab, but I have installed RuffStuff, IRO, and TNT.

Honestly, IMO, they're all about the same. You're just splitting hairs here. Buy which ever one suits you best. No right or wrong answer.

The biggest pain in the ass is cleaning the area for welding. The prep is the same with any manufacturer, so which ever one you think is best, that's the one I would go with.

Yeah, prep has been a joy.
Been scraping the undercoating off as I discovered it needed redoing.
And it just dawned on me maybe I should look into stiffeners "while I'm in there". This all started with changing the oil pan seal lol

"while I'm in there".
Been bit by that hound.

The stiff black non woven discs for a drill work well for removing undercoat. The ones for an angle grinder tend to melt unless you have a variable speed grinder.

On a related note, I’m going to be installing a baddadfab hidden winch mount. Do we think that will be sufficient to stiffen up the front, or should I get front stiffeners to go with my mid stiffeners?

I feel good about the fact that it is fully welded, but it doesnt have much structure!

I have the Bad Dad front hidden bumper. It includes a steering box brace. I still went with front stiffeners. My main reason on the front stiffeners, is that I had issues with a cracked frame, at the steering box. Death Wobble not good. It cracked off the bracket of the OTK track bar. Also, if you do or don't get front stiffeners, Bad Dad needs to know. He will fab up the kit to match widths.

Nice. My frame is pretty solid still, no cracks or rust. And I read somewhere that the BDF mount really stiffened up the front end.
So, I think I am going to skip the front stiffeners, and just go with the mid and cross my fingers.
Also, pretty sure BDF has a backlog of work for the next century...
