I'm kinda new here, I've been lurking for a while when I just had a boring little stock 95 5-speed. Now my wife & kids got me a 98 with 6.5" RC lift, and custom LA, running 33's for Fathers Day:clap: God I love them! I'd post some pic but I don't think I'm allowed, some of you have probably seen the Craigslist ad (it was the red one with the really big LA Drop Brackets, I know Troy saw it.). Anyway it looks to be a good starting platform, I just need to resolve the Bump steer issue, re-gear and fix some minor problems.

I'm now in the market for some Bumpers and Rock Rails, I found some from JCR Offroad that look like they will do the job ( Stage 2 rear bumper w/ swing out tire carrier, and the Stage 2 Rails if I can get them to customize them to fit around the LA brackets) Anybody running these? what are your $.02 on how they are made/work, how was the service with this company?

Any other company you can point me to for Bumpers, rails, roll cage, skids are welcomed. I've hit the ones I have come across, but know there are alot of sites that I'm not awear of. Thanks.

JCR is awsome. They have great quality parts and everything is made BEEFY. I would recommend them 100% to everyone.
Brian and the guys have always been awsome with any help and questions ive had. You wont be dissapointed with them.

PS, you can post pics. Just host them to a site and wrap

As you can see I'm going to have aproblem with finding Rock Rails that will work with this set up (at the far right you can see the Tranny cross member, the brackets are right where the rails mount)

SWBOOKING thanks for the help with the pic!

Yeah no problem. Glad to help.

Just call the guys at JCR and explain to them your drop brackets etc... and they probably have you shoot them a pic with dimensions, but im sure they can make a set for you no problem.

What kit is that anyways? Custom?

The guy I got it from, said that he bought it with the lift already on it and that the person he bought it from put on a Rough Country 6.5", then after he bought it, he had alignment issues with the caster angle and the shop that was doing the alignment told him that they could'nt get the caster dialed in with the short arms and sugested that he put on long arms. So he got a buddy (or maybe it was his brother) that worked in a 4x4 fab shop to do the custom LA, all he had to do was pay for material (about $400) and they hooked him up with this set up, looks like they made it more for on road handling/correct alignment than for off road. other than the LA's i think it is all RC componets. I'm also looking at JCR's 1-ton steering, I take it that that is worth the money?

Yes i have the OTK steering setup on my rig and its night and day from the stock setup, and again, very beefy.

How was the fab work on the OTK, I was looking at the normal 1-ton steering, I wasnt sure about all of the bracket relocating and cutting the coil buckets and then re-inforcing them, but the OTK made more sence to get the tie rod up out of the way of rocks. Then I went to read the instructions and they were for the normal set up, so that was no help.

Yeah i think they told me that they're working on the OTK directions.

The fab work was nothing at all. I got the 2" extended sway bar endlinks from JKS and also got their OTA trac bar bracket. Then just shortened my trac bar, reamed the knucles and pitman arm, and put everything on. It was pretty easy and wll worth it. Much more clearence and handles very well.

So no hacking of the coil buckets?

oh yeah, i did have to trim the front of the passanger side coil bucket but it was very minimal and the way that the OTA Trac bar bracket welds in, it took care of the renforcing.
