Ok i am in a bit of a pickle we are almost halfway done with my 2x6 rocker replacement and my buddy quit on me after getting frustrated. and i do not weld at all.

We have cut out the rockers and I have all the steel Cut and ready to be welded in except for the frame tie ins (need the metal) and the outer step pre bent tube kit i ordered should be in late this week.

My Buddy got as far as welding in one side (without tie ins) and left a few holes in the seam of his weld (on underside) and was having a hard time filling the holes HE got frustrated and quit.

Now i am left with my jeep Cut open with bare metal showing on the rockers , i have basically no rust on my rig and dont want any to form because of this so i would like this done and painted (im painting it) as soon as possible.

Please let me know if you would like to do this for me and what you would estimate the cost at. I dont want my friends side cut out but it will need some grinding and some holes filled (doesnt have to be perfect).

Id like to to assist in any way i can And would trailer it to your garage and take it with me at end of working day (even if not done yet)

do you have a welder?

if you do, because im inebriated and feel the need to explain:
i am no accomplished welder, but i can lay a bead. ive played with mig, and arch welding. i did my rocker install with flux core. the key to welding the sheet metal to the 2x6 is starting your bead on the 2x6, and then pushing the pool onto the thin metal. work in 2"-6" sections depending on your beer consumption. if you try to start your bead on the sheet metal, you will burn it up EVERY TIME. this is my experience with flux core at least. your just running to strong to pool on the paper thin sheet metal. after you get a strip of tac welds about .75"-1" long, you can lay down a bead in between tacks to attach the sheet metal fully. grind flat and throw a little filler on it. its worked great for me.

i havent attached supports, because i honestly dont wheel that hard. and id like to add supports after i add frame stiffeners.

again, if you have a welder, have access to a welder, or can convince your friend to continue the project... it doesnt take a lot of skill. just patients and attention to detal.

COOL! I will most likely take you up on this in the future

Im happy with how the rock rails are going to end up but i did decide he wont be doing my cage (hybrid style hopefully this summer)
Thats if you have a bender and are willing
(i know thats kind of a big project)

I think the only planned welding besides that is jeeptubes.com quarter armor with Tube fenders. (hopefully this summer)

Besides Nacho Sheese is my favorite food group
