Any Non religious people here?

Mild-mannered agnostic, here.

Actually, if there is a God, He's got an awful lot of explaining to do if/when I see Him... Meanwhile, I've got enough to deal with here and now to keep me busy - worrying about the hereafter would probably give me an ulcer.

x2, on 5-90's post

Never felt the need to justify my existence on this earth. Never needed "faith" in a higher power to give me a reason to be a decent person and know right from wrong. Also never felt the reason to force my beliefs on anyone, or say "if you don't think like me, you're going to die and go to hell!!!".

I've just always thought I was strong-minded/willed enough to get by on my own....plus I've found that a lot of, if not most, "religious" people are:

Hypocritcal
Fanatical
"Always right"
Missing a lot from life
Weak-minded
Lost, searching for answers/explanations

Yeah he's got some splainin to do! If there is a god and an afterlife hopefully he sees the good in people!

Every religion has their own definition of "good"

Some believe you must kill certain other people to reach good afterlife...

Others believe you should have lots of wives...

Others believe you have to pay to get there (to heaven), otherwise you sit in a waiting area....these are the same who listen to leaders who like young boys....and are full of "conspiracies"....

Others think you should keep your mouth shut, respect everyone and everything, make beer and live a really simple life....

I like the last group the most....

Answer to your question, Nope.

My life goes as follows.
Christian->agnostic->atheist->back to agnostic-> Theist.

Some what settled on that last one. Life was too depressing otherwise... (Can you say emotional crutch??)

If I believe in anything, it is most definitely not mainstream Christianity.

Pretty much my opinion as well.

I see organized religion being good for 3 things:

To start a war.
To make a lot of money.
To allow a small group of people to control a large group of people.

More Spiritual than religious.

I have a theory about God. God must be a government employee. Only a civil servant could screw things up this bad.

You guys are all in my mind set.

Im taking a world relgions class, and I can respect everything but Christianity.
War
Hate
Fear

Im somewhat of a spirtualist, but I WILL NOT base my life on events that happened, or didn't happen 2000 years ago.
