Anyone see the king of the hill episode where he goes to north texas to a propane place to talk to the guys there and they sing the boomer Sooner song. That was a great episode. The guy was like "You know whats great about (name of city where they went) in only 10 min. we can be in the great state of Okla.

But back on topic would you guys let an Oklahoman join the trail run down there? I will take the upside down longhorn off the back of my jeep for the weekend. I am going down around Gilmer at the beginning of April I hope...
You guys could come up here and run some of our trails. That way, I wouldn't havta cover up my Downhorns sticker. I went down to Taaayxas to get a tattoo and felt like everyone was staring at me because of my sticker.

The only way I'll ever remove it is if y'all won a bet that Mack Brown could ever beat Bob Stoops. That would truly be an accomplishment worthy of sticker removal for a year :D

But seriously, I'd love to meet up with y'all in Amarillo sometime. I know it's kinda far for some of ya, but there's some great wheelin in Palo Duro.

Sounds good. I've got relatives in Lubbock. It wouldn't be hard to travel up one day. Spend the night with my kin. Wheel for a day and a half and then head home. For me, one weekend is just as lousy a choice as another (busy all the time) so pick one. Where so you go in Palo Duro? Where do you have access? If its not part of the state park, its private property.

I was hoping one of y'all would know the answer to that and know the trails. :dunno:

Let me rephrase my former statement, " I know there's some great wheelin' in Palo Duro".

I've seen the coverage of past Jamborees and it looks like an awsome time.

That just seems like the closest place for ME to wheel in Taaayxas.

Damn, the Schlonghorns just won. :bawl:

I've also seen pics of some killer wheeling in Palo Duro during the Jamborees. But from what I've read, the Jamborees are held on private property and the land owners do not open to the public otherwise. Maybe we could shoot for a trip to Gilmer or Clayton or even that Super Lift park in Hot Springs?

I forgot about Disney, even though its even farther away.

Gilmer is about 5 hours away, Clayton 7 hours, Hot Springs - 8, Disney - 9.

I can do Gilmer over a weekend. Drive out after work Friday. Wheel all day Saturday and half day Sunday, then drive home. The other places I'll need to take time off work, otherwise I won't get any sleep. I'm too old for that any more.

How far are these places from y'all?

Hi all:

This is Dean. I am an aggie class of 96 and I live in Houston. I am looking to hookup with some people for some good wheeling. I have a 2003 rubicon that I've been up at spring creek a couple of times and have had great fun.

Would like to be part of any good upcoming wheeling that everyone might be thinking about.

Dean

I'm in Wichita Falls Texas and we go wheelin halfway between here and Dallas just south of Nocona.
This is my second time living in Texas adn I sure did miss it when I was gone.

BTW. The town they were talking about in King of the Hill was Wichita Falls. Thought it was funny cus' I was living here when I watched that episode.
