Any Mensa members on NAXJA?

Just got my test results today and I was wondering if there are any other Mensa members on NAXJA?

A former employer brought in a supposed cost cutting expert. He tried to lord his Mensa membership over everybody. I told him I took a sample Mensa exam and passed it with flying colors, and saw no need to go any further.

On a side note, a few weeks later he was escorted off the premises and told never to return (something to do with a female employee.)

I knew a couple of Mensa members back long ago and they seemed like arrogant [insert epithet of choice here]. Never thought it would be much of a bargain to join up in a club with them. I could qualify with my GRE score from 1966, but who cares?

I havent actually paid the membership dues yet, I just passed the test. I am going to go to a local chapter meeting first and see what type of people they are. That's one reason I was asking about members here.

I jumped over Mensa an went direct to six sigma.

I figure why bother, I'm the same whether I pay to be in a group for only really smart people or not... so why pay? I can buy a lot of tools or jeep/house repair materials with that money.

I scored 148 on an online IQ test a few years ago, but I'm pretty sure they inflated that number a lot as they were trying to sell me the "full" results of my test.

I would say they're a group of people whose arrogance is disproportionate to their slightly higher intelligence quotient.
that's my general observation too... present company excluded, most people here are just arseholes but don't intend for it to be taken seriously :roflmao:

I jumped over Mensa an went direct to six sigma.
:wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

MenSA?

Is that some sort of personals site for South Africa?

The trailer for this weeks "House" has him commenting on him and his new associates combined IQ of over 300. His response was so together we have the IQ of 5 morons.

I can spell, I just can't type. My brain goes faster than my fingers. :gag:

I've know a guy who likes to brag about his IQ and mensa qualification. He's 5'-5" and has the worst case of "small man's syndrome" I've ever seen.

What's funny is his test scores seem to change every time he brings it up, and if you confront him about it he threatens to kick your arse for challenging him!

:confused1

In the engineering industry (at least where I have worked) No one talks about Mensa. I have heard of it, but thought it was... well... as mentioned. The ones that count are F.E. (Fundamentals of Engineering) which I took and passed, that is on the way to earning a P.E. Licence, (Professional Engineer). Six sigma is a good one as well. I guess it depends on your field. There are lots of different certifications out there that probably hold more purpose, making your time worth while. Good luck to the OP.
