Picked this up today. Canedy-Otto No. 24, not sure of the mfg date yet. Still runs, but the bearings are a bit gummed up and the belt is in bad shape, so you have to help it out to get it started. Should be a fun restoration project!

A bit of penetrating oil into the bearings, and it's running better than my current little craftsman drill press. Looks like most of the work will be cosmetic, this thing is in great shape.

I'm sure it will look good!

I am a fan of electrolytic rust removal, no harm the the base metal.
 
Been slowly working on cleaning and polishing it up.

Can anyone help me find the age of the motor? I believe it's original, so I'd like to know when this was all built.

It seems the patent application was 1923, and since the serial number's only 4 digits, probably not made too long after. Just wish I could get an exact year.
