amp placement

im going to be putting in a small mtx amp in a few weeks for my rear speakers and cant decide where to mount it i dont want it on the back of the rear seats because i still fold them down time to time for storage so what are some other optional areas?

x2 under the rear seat. That is where the factor amp is. Although the jack equipment is on one side. Urban, where did your jack go to?

unfortunately, my jack's in my trunk, but I plan on switching to a single 5channel amp next year, so I can recover the original space for the jack once more.

Just to clarify, this amp is for powering speakers in the factory rear sound bar? Not a sub woofer correct?

And for God's sake Urban, even the pictures of the bowels of your XJs interior look like they are out of a magazine.

mine doesnt have the sound bar but the speakers are in the hatch and they are just two 5x9 or some 6 and 1/2 if i decide to buy some instead of using my 5x9s i have laying around. And also what about if the amp gets hot under there?

It's a good location IF the amp is small enough. If not, under the passenger seat is another good place.
