No, I haven't really played with any of them yet. I was looking at the Digital Rebel mostly based on cost. I'm thinking of waiting for the Minolta 7D to come down a bit in price. It looks like a great camera. I currently own a Maxxum 7si so I could keep my lenses. But, I really don't have any high dollar lenses so I'm not sure if it's worth it. Image quality is my only real concern and I want the flexibility of an SLR. I don't make any money off photography so I'm wondering if the low $$ is the way to go. I think I'm going to scratch the DSLR off the Christmas list for now. So, that leaves just the welder .
