Air Shocks?

What are the feelings or input on "Air Shocks"

My 2000 has just AAL in rear and will not be used off road. However it will be used for campin and towing my off road trailer.

I need shocks and was thinking maybe the air shocks would help with load balance and trailer towing?

It all depends on how you adjust them. Typically they are meant for trail use but can be used for the road. The adjustment varies drastically. If they were initially adjusted for the trail then they would be way too "soft" for driving on the highway and slow to react. If they are adjusted for highway driving then they would be way to stiff for off road. But being that you don't plan to use them off road they should be fine. Remember to really pay attention to the vehicle weight and load capacity of the shock.

I'm in the process of installing them all the way around on mine and as it will not be my DD I do plan on driving it around every now and then and to the trails quite often I am planning on adjusting them at that "Happy Medium" so that I can use it for both, and will probably go a little on the stiff side. I recommend the Swayaways. Much better quality then the Fox or Ballistics. Mine are the SAWs 2.0 14" although Id recommend the 2.5 which are rated at 1500lbs a corner

I got mine through a local guy here in Phoenix for a super awesome deal. You can call him up and he may be able to ship them to you he does a lot of nationwide work and runs a really small one build at a time shop kind of thing. I run air shocks on all 4 corners, no prob's what so ever.
