Air Compressor question

For you guys that know stuff about air compressors I have a question.

I recently purchased a compressor for a good price but I am concerned about the specs.

the compressor is a 35 gal and looks heavy duty as hell, but when looking at the compressor motor (Pneumotive Air Power Products lgh-406-x) the max psi listed is 50 psi max, continuous.

Now Im not the brightest man in the world but I cannot find a single use for this type of compressor. Why would there be a 35 gal tank on this?

I got for a good price so Im thinking I put it on CL and get my money back out of it and buy something else?

School me on this please.

Are you sure it doesn't mean it can only flow max cfm @ 50 psi?

Will it pump up to 90?

Havent tested it yet, just reading up on it for now. Its been in the teens since yesterday, wayyyyyy toooo cold lol.

This thing is driving me nuts, I will now read the motor specs before I buy!

"50psi continuous max" means the compressor will maintain 50psi line pressure while you are constantly running a tool. IIRC

Do you have a data sheet on the unit?
