Aerosol Bed Liner?

Nuke Proof

I have read about 50 threads and I saw one guy mentioned a bed liner material availible in an aerosol, but he never said what brand it was.

I am looking for a do it yourself bedliner and was looking to see what the best option is. Some of you said Herculiner is soft, duplicolor peels, and Durabak was mentioned but no one ever reviewed it.

What is a good product out there? I have used the industrial undercoatings but I can't find them anymore (You hooked them up to a special applicator that used an air hose and a siphon system. I loved it because it dried hard as a rock.).

not sure what bcmaxx used, but if its the same thing I have used its just 'Rubberized Rocker Gaurd' as found in our (Canadian) everything store... called Canadian Tire.
Its pretty in-expensive, easy to use, and holds pretty good when properly prepped for. Makes scrapes and mishaps easy to cover too, after a day on the trails.

Duplicolor is the brand that makes the spray on type, as well as roll on.
Advance Auto Parts carries it. I don't know about its reliability, since I've never used it.

I found Dupli-Color and another off brand at a Walmart in the automotive section. I used it as an undercoating for my fenders.

Spruced up my ride. Yo.

I used the Duplicolor spray on my rockers, bumpers and quarters, been there almost a year and really no issues. maybe a bit of fading, but that is it. The biggest thing is the prep, sand the entire area very well and wipe it clean with a good acetone.

Looks great! When you sprayed it on, did you peel the tape with the coating wet or did you wait until it dried?

Thanks

I gave it a bit of time to set up. I also after I was done used 1/4" black pinstrip along the edge where the liner meets the paint, gives it a nice clean straigh line.

ive had excellent results from the Duplicolor stuff. prep is the most important step. it touches up easy too. the older stuff used to fade in the sun but they added UV protection and it holds up well.

I used Herculiner in my cargo area and under the rear seats and it is amazing. It has great texture, looks good, and takes a beating. Then, I wasted $50 on Duplicolor in aerosol cans for use in the back of a trailer. That stuff is only slightly thicker than normal spray paint and wears off in no time. I won't deny that it looks awesome on the sides of that yellow XJ, but if you're going to be hauling anything in your truck or scraping it up at all, just buy Herculiner- you will not regret it.

we used to use the duplicolor spray cans on the loading dock lift where I used to work. Sat out in the sun all day long, got hit with pallet jacks and loding dollies a couple of days a week. Held up pretty good. It was the older formula so it did fade over time, but the new stuff is supposed to hold up better. Spray it thick, and recoat where it looks thin

I used the duplicolor spray on my rear fender lips and it looks great. I pulled off the tape after it had set up a bit, so it didn't make the straightest line, but I'm not building a show car either. One or two places have started to flake around the edges, but I don't think I prepped well enough in those spots. I sanded the crap out of the paint, but only used water to wipe it off and not acetone. As long as you prep the stuff, it'll hold up well. The stuff on my jeep is pretty hard, not pliable at all.

thats looks great how is the heat transfer i am going to to get a quote tomorow on the roof and the lowers kick panels i will let every one know the price but thats looks great good thinking. Would be nice to have the hole car done. I had a 88 toyota 4x4 p/u that my friend sprayed the hole truck with the QWIKLINER it was great off road never could scratch it only chiped one time when i slid in to a tree on the side of the bed it really didnt chip just cracked. But after that he sold the gun to spray it.:read:
