AC question

Alright, I have an 2000 xj with an AC problem. There is obviously something clogging the oriface tube because I'm not getting cold enough air out of the vents, and every parts store that I have called doesn't carry an oriface tube, which is where it is obviously clogged. I tried to order it and it is masively (if thats even a word) backordered at the plant. Which leads me to believe that this is a somewhat common problem. Anyways so I came over to grandpa's house who is air conditioning man. We hooked up, drained the freon, and used nitrogen to try to blow whatever is in there out the other way by reversing the flow. Then we even hooked it up to a deep vaccuum and only got as deep as 900 microns when it should have been about 500. So we would like to take the tubing apart but can't get the oriface tube to come out of the other section of tubing. Everybody we have talked to says to just pull on it, but that isn't working. Just wondering if anybody could help if so I'd appreciate it greatly!!!!

Ahh yes the orfice tube. we had fun with a ford just last week. There was no air moving through it and it came out in pieces.(picking a lot with a pick) that night we introudced that part to out fairly experienced NAPA guy. We couldent explain it over the phone, none of the names that you could call it came up in the computer. When I got there we came up with the right one. They found out that they do stock 2-3 different ones. So I know that NAPA can get them. Maybe try showing them the one you have.
