I believe since the rear abs is unplugged there should be an abs light on and the abs disconnected.

Yep, the abs light should be on and if it is your brakes will operate normally without the ABS feature.

However, do you have the Bendix ABS? If so, some re-plumbing the brakes is in your future. That bendix system is a POS.

No abs light on.. its a little harder to push on the brakes.. its working without rear abs.
Im on the lookout at the jy for a 95-96 brake system.. they re supposed to be the best years due to double diafram(?) at the booster part.

I did this on my 90 and it works great. You will have to modify the push rod so the brake lights will work right and some minor re-plumbing will have to be done. Make sure you get the lines that come out of the MC with it since they have "bubble flares" and odd sized threads on the flare nut.

If it's a 92 or later yank the fuses/relays and call it a day, else to be safe you really should pull the ABS setup out and put in a (much better!) dual diaphragm booster+master anyways.

Hey Mark you want my nonabs setup still single diaphragm, but cheap, I have some long SS front lines too
