Americans owe a huge debt to the men and women sering presently, and who have served in defense of, and preserving the freedom of our great Nation.

From the earliest days of our country to the present in faraway places as well as protecting the home soil, veterans have answered their country's call to arms with honor, dignity, and professionalism.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your service to the United States of America, and sacrifices made by you and your families.

I take my hat off to you folks. Got news that a good friend of mine from HS was in an armored vehicle that was the target of a suicide bomber last week. He escaped with 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his hands, arms, chest, and face. He's in rough shape, but he's alive and expected to have a full recovery. He's an awesome guy and totally upbeat. He's proud that he has served his country, and that's an amazing thing when you're in that kind of shape.

My many thanks go out to all of you for protecting this great land.

Thank you for your service be it recent or long past, in time of war or time of peace, just a few years or a full career, in air, land or sea.

Big thank you to all veterans (and those currently serving).

Your service does not go unappreciated.

Thanks for all we have and all we can do.

Thanks to all the past present and future service folks as you make this country what it is and guarantee us our freedom. My hat's off to you.

I also would like to say thanks. When I was young I had the stupid notion that the Military was just a bunch of mindless killers. Now at almost 31 I really wish I could go back and do my life over again. I really think I would have joined the service. I think my life would be much better today.
Thanks to everyone who was much smarter and braver then I was at that age.

Thanks Dad, Cabel, Grandpa, Granddad, Grandma.

R.I.P.- Dibo, VanDyke, Gutierrez, Yazzie.

Thanks to every Vet, past and present.

Remember them today, honor them always.

Especially those dealing with the aftermath for the rest of their lives.

They need YOUR support, and help. Don't just say it, do something.

My thoughts are with all past and current Vets, and especially those that made the ultimate sacrifice.

Just wanted to say thanks to all, on this board, or otherwise, who served so that we can all lead our lives so much easier than many around the world.

I know that no amount of thanks will ever be enough...but thank you.

Gotta go to dads grave tonight and place a flag and flowers. Ya know after 18 yrs of him being gone it never gets any easier.

Thanks Dad, and everyone else.

In honour of those of us who made it home, are coming home, or will never come home...

Civilians, something to remember. If you are going out to-night and you hear a batch of people telling each other "war stories" and there is an empty place at the table, that is NOT an invitiation. It is a memorial. We don't mind you coming over to share with us, but let us clear a space for you before you sit... We save the place in much the same manner as the "Riderless Horse" in parade or the "Missing Man" flight formation - it's for our brothers (and now sisters) who couldn't be there with us that day...
