I bought my rig in late 2011 and promptly put a detroit locker in the rear and a few months later found some gold alloys and wrapped them in 30x9.50x15s and short of some fog lights its been completely stock.

I took my heep out to JV for the first time at goat fest and had a blast exploring JV.

Looks great! Reminds me of when my 99 was set up nearly identical to that. Stock height, hella's on the front bumper, ECCO's and a good set of A/T's. Only thing I didn't have was a locker.

Sometimes I miss having my XJ set up like that. Everything was so simple...

Did your flares fall off then?

What is that photo with the buildings and all the concrete poles and floors? It looks like an empty swimming pool in the parking lot behind you.

Kinda creepy.

Wow beautiful pics. I am definitely jealous of the wheeling spots, kinda wish I was out west. I love the scenery.

Hey, looking good!

That's really interesting how the big chunk flaked off that boulder. Too bad people spray painted all that garbage on there. That really negatively impacts the incredible natural beauty of that scene, almost beyond appreciation because it's so distracting.

Get a second gear switch in Mark, go into low range and don't touch the brakes!

That piece broke off the rock naturally. There is some speculation that the break happened sooner than it normally would because of campfires lit under the rock, I don't think it has been proven true or false though.

Graffiti on rocks is common. :( It goes back further than any of us can remember (think of cave paintings).

Yeah I figured the rock break had some kind of interesting story behind it, thanks GSequoia!

Good point about cave paintings...
...if the modern graffiti had more substance than disrespectful kids painting their names up there I might have a different opinion.. ..but it just feels so much less meaningful to see "LOS AMIGOS" or big ANARCHY logos all overlapping one another up there.

Might be different if it was an artistically composed image of a 'hunt' or something like the original cave paintings from our ancestry, even if done in a modern style! Here's some examples of tasteful modern graffiti, going with our cave painting theme...

And thanks to SidewaysStarion for staring this thread. I've got a buddy with a killer 88 Starion, man those cars were way ahead of their time with so many creature comforts and lots of performance!
