97 transmission in 91 xj?

i found a good deal on a 97-01 Transmission.
would it work in a 91 xj?

Isn't the transmission harness plug for the 2000-2001 different than the early ones? We had to change out the one for Rusty's rig.

I think ED's right-- the neutral safety switch plug changed and I remember reading somewhere that the speed sensor changed as well-- lemme look:

it should work-- might have to swap speed sensors and rewire/ use older NSS
