96 xj strange ignition problem

Ok I ve searched and haven t found this here so I though I d ask ...
96 xj sport 4.0 auto no mods this things been great up until about 2 weeks ago .... I shut it down at the store and when I came out to start it ... nothing .... didn t turn over ...gauges and everything electrical were all fine ... battery read fine as far as the gauge was concerned .... I tried a few more times and nothing .... was getting ready to call for a ride and decided to try it once more .... started right up and ran fine.
Its done this a few more times since then and once more today.
Any ideas on where to start looking for a problem?

Second above. Next time this happens, try wiggling the shifter, or going into Neutral. If it makes a difference, it's the NSS. Search archives here for details and links on cleaning and restoring this very expensive little part.

OK thanks .... I just finished and that was the problem ... easy fix too the hardest part was cutting the zip ties
