I just bought a Land Rover last night so my trusty Jeep must move on. I've owned it for 4.5 years. It has been great to me, never let me down or left me stranded, and can drive through deeper snow and tow much more than a vehicle it’s size deserves to. It runs well, shows no signs of any transmission wear, and should be good for another whole bunch of miles.
Here’s the skinny:
1991 Cherokee Limited
4.0 HO, AW4, NP242, D30, D35
Colorado Red/Tan leather
Power everything, most of which still works
4WD works GREAT
245k miles
98% rust free
Mods:
Custom rear leaf pack using ¾ ton van leaves
Front coil spacers to match lift in rear, 2”
Bilstein shocks
Boxed greaseable LCAs
FRONT and REAR trailer hitches, really handy for moving trailers in close areas or as off road recovery point
PIAA fogs (needs new relay) and stock fogs
POR15 underneath
Flowmaster Exhaust from Rusty's
16” 98 ZL limited Alloy wheels
CB radio antenna
Kenwood CD player
Big transmission cooler
Draw Tite electric trailer brake controller
Recently Replaced:
Radiator, Water pump, hoses
Balljoints, wheel bearing
All new brakes (Hawk HPS Pads!)
u-joints
interior carpet
lots more in my ownership, I’ll give you a full list if you want
F&R wiper motors
Current issues:
Needs Tires
A/C hasn’t worked in a long time
Driver seat has small tear, and seat cushion slopes to left from previous owner
Int setting on wipers doesn’t work
Horn doesn’t work (I think its just unplugged, I haven't checked)
Leaks some oil
Sunroof (OEM) leaks a little sometimes in heavy rain
Other little minor niggles on a 15 year old XJ.
It has been a great car, but I needed something bigger to tow my latest boat, and my g/f wanted something newer and nicer.
Price - $1100. Open to offers or whatnot, just email me, sonicspeed at mac dot com
Jeep is currently in Ridgefield, CT (Southwestern) but delivery around the northeast can be discussed as I travel some.
Pics will be added later this evening
