91 Cherokee starts then dies right away

Well she's finally running! It turns out that somehow I tripped part of my factory alarm system and it was killing the signal to the fuel injectors just after it started. I have an aftermarket alarm and remote start that was installed by cartoys and when they installed it they bypass most of the factory alarm but not all of it. It basically cuts out the factory alarm during remote start but the rest of the time the factory alarm is also engaged and can kill any number of systems through the ECM. All I had to do was lock the doors from inside with my power door lock button, and then have my dad go around and unlock every door manually with the key, then it started right up. I still don't know how I triggered it but atleast I know the solution now. I owe a big thanks to everyone that has helped me on here over the past week, and maybe this thread will help somone else that gets the same problem. Time to have a beer and relax:cheers: . Thanks again!

Good. Do you know what the alarm cuts out. Pos to the injectors or neg signal? Just curious. You did learn from the whole thing though. I work on electric fork lifts and other industrial equipment. The best approach is to trouble shoot it and not replace anything at first. There are times and situations that part "interchanging is needed". Thats easy if you have an inventory of parts. Im going to put together a print for my 2000. Dig up the prints for yours. If you can print pages and splice them together you will have a "roadmap" of your xj. When I say print I mean schematic. Not a diagram. A schematic. Thanks, I have learned also.
