1990 Jeep Cherokee (Stock) - Asking price 1,000

Style: 2 Door
Color: Black
Mileage: 186,000
Transmission: Standard - 5 speed

THE GOOD:

-Valid Inspection Sticker through September, 2008; will easily take another one. The cops will not hassle you about this car looking unsafe.

-Rust has been fixed. Of course a vehicle in Maine is bound to have rust but none that would fail inspection certainly.

-It's a 5 speed.

-Aggressive tires with deep treat, but sure what they are called but they are very nice.

-Jeep is ready to be driven and trail ridden, minus replacing the alternator (see below).

-There appears to be an add-a-leaf in the rear, it sits higher than a stock Cherokee does. Towing package, and the tailgate actually stays open! All lights and gauges work.

THE BAD:

-As far as I can tell, it needs a new alternator, as when I remove the jumper cables the car immediately die. The battery is brand new but has been sitting since the snow fell.

-The drivers side door needs to have its lock cylinder put back in. I had to take it out to get a key fitted to lock the Jeep, but I have no been able to put it back in. Should be an easy fix, I have special key that will lock it up.

-Emergency break cable could use re-adjustment. Parking it in gear will solve this problem in most situations, but if you plan on parking this on a very steep incline, that could be a problem. Can be ignored if you won't be using it I suppose.

-Cosmetics/Other Issues (if anyone cares, haha): The rear wiper mast is missing, the car is mostly black but has some yellow showing on top (I named it the hornet for this reason), the hood requires a new latch, 4 way hazards do not work, radio turns on but no sound comes out of it, and other minor issues I can not think of right now.

I am selling this because I am in need of saving more money for college and I can't afford to keep 2 cars.

I would like a good home for this, and I will be getting pictures soon.

My personal email is [email protected] if you have any questions.

I will have to check on the floors, I am pretty sure they are solid. When I baught it I was told they have been replaced but I will double check and see how they are holding up.

It looks alright around the windshield frame.

There is no rust or rot that I can find, only small spots starting here and there. Nothing greater than the size of a dime, rust is just about all taken care of.
