390 V8, tons of torque, 9mpg no matter what...I installed an Edelbrock 600cfm carb and Performer intake, new distributor cap and rotor, plugs and wires, and ignition coil. It also got a new thermostat and housing with the carb.

C6 3speed auto, will eventually need a new pump outlet seal. I just keep adding ATF because dropping that transmission isn't on my short list of fun things to do in a gravel driveway with a rolling jack...

It's a long bed, 2wd, bench seat. I gave it a new windshield and two new tires. When I bought it, it had been parked next to a fence for while. The tires not blocked by the fence were dryrotted. The other two were good. I also got a tailgate at the junk yard, but it needs a handle. It's currently uninstalled.

Suppose I ought to give it a price...
We'll start at $3000. However, the longer I have it, the more work I'll do, so depending exactly how long, the price may increase. I'll try to keep updated.

The truck is going in for new exhaust this week to quiet the raging pipes of fury! :D Because I'm cheap, I'm going with a single exhaust but getting a Flowmaster Super 40 and dumping ahead of the rear wheel. I also bought a tailgate from the junk yard, but it needs the supports and handle.

New exhaust is installed, and it's like a completely different truck! Better low end power, quiet enough to carry on a conversation, but still mean sounding...

Exhaust cost me $350. For members, I'll keep the price at $3000 for now. Black letter names can have it for $3250.

i saw a completely restored one with the same color scheme as yours going down the road the other day. i gotta say it looked pretty nice with fresh paint. i likey.

Hey, so all the lights on the back end just quit tonight. Brake, tail, running light, reverse. It's gotta be something stupid like one wire shorted or got cut, or bad bulb, maybe fuse?

What about the park lamps? I'd doubt it's a fuse or direct short if they're still lit, in that case I'd be checking the wiring back.

If they're dead it could be a fuse, a headlamp switch, or possibly a relay ('69 - '72 3/4 and up trucks had a relay under the dash for park lamps, not sure yours does).

The other possibility might be a defective ground back to the bed of the truck. Any chance the gas gauge stopped working as well?

Ground would be the common denominator between all those lights.

Gas gauge, is still good, I think. I didn't check. All the lights up front are working fine. Pretty much anything on the cab is good everything on the bed is dead. I'll be going through my Haynes in the next couple days to check wiring diagrams and I'll probably check the fuses and such.

Hey, John, I'll make you a heck of a deal if you want it...:D I'll have some axle work that needs to be done soon, either polishing the turdy or building a 44...;)

That's tempting but I need a truck that will seat 6 because I have my girlfriend and her 3 kids plus Dylan. Oh, and I is po' :D

Do it Mexican/redneck/Arizona style! Truck's got an 8 foot bed...You could fit at least 20 in there. :D
