6.5"" speakers in front door

Do you have the rectangular stock cover? Seems as if this would block a lot of the sound.

the newer jeeps have a larger opening.

i put 6.5" polks in mine, just used some long self tappers and went right through... used the polk covers also.

my 97 didnt get any fancy lovin and i has the 4.5's

but seems that the 6.5's go in without issue

You have any pics by chance? My 6.5" Alpine Type S gets here tomorrow and I think I want to run those up front since they are better than my current front speaker. Just want to ensure I don't start cutting anything I don't need to.
