4x4 Shows

All 4x4s should be included...If you can get trophies and are going to judge then you will need to Charge a $5 fee and make sure you have forms for them to list the specs. and stuff for the judges...If you guys want to ride afterwards thats great but I would keep it low key and not advertise you are going to have a run. I will try tomorrow night to type up a better plan for a 4x4 show.

As to the post in the MOD Tech Board it is now on the NON-Tech. And NO you may not post it again in MOD Tech. I understand but we have seperate forums and we like to keep them on Topic.

CNC 4x4 (Raleigh-area club www.cnc.4x4.org) had a swap meet/show at the Hendrick Hummer site at Cary Auto Park last March... This year it will be held June 26th at the NC State Fairgrounds.

The metro-Atlanta area Dodge dealership where we held the SE Chapter show isn't interested in doing it again (new management)

What Heather says is all true. Keeping it simpler is better... some things to ponder:
*A shelter of some sort...good if sunny, great if rainy
*"simple" food: dogs, slaw, beans, canned drinks, H2O, disposable dinnerware, trashbags etc...
*A PA system and way of playing some music.
*Registration/entry forms (and some $$ in small bills to make change)
*Scrounging up door prizes (donated from ??? or purchased) and a 2 rolls of tickets - 1 color for the prize drawing, another color for a 50/50 raffle.
*I'll try to track down the club's banners & flags to display.
*Getting flyers out as soon as a date is set.

That's it off the top of my head

Woody's I still have those banners you had at the last one...So I have a NAXJA Banner, Blue Ribbion and Tread Lightly

10/4, just need to hunt down the United flag then...

As for the trail riding...I'd keep that on the QT and invite-only IMHO (for several reasons)

I do not know if anyone would like to come down south here but I can ask around and see if any of the local Jeep dealers would like to have us out. We do have some awesome sand dunes in Albany but zero rocks. Would south Ga interest anyone? If not keep me posted on the planned dates if you get one going. Sounds like a lot of fun. I HATE BEING SO FAR SOUTH!

ya know that parking lot beside the amphitheater is always empty, next to Hwy 411 & across Walnut Street from Gadsden City Hall, & its been used as a diplay area for several auto events before such as the Demo Nascar Cars have setup & displayed there the couple of days before Talladega,, just a thought..
there's no telling what it would cost to get a permit from the city or whatever??
might be cool to do it there should be plenty of room, for a bunch of rigs & maybe even an RTI ramp??

it would be cool if it could be done on the Rocks @ Nocolulla Falls, but it think the city officials might frown abit on peeps Flexin there Jeeps out on the rocks in the Botanical Gardens.. lol..

kudzu

any luck w/ a site for gadsden the area??

on that location.

More Florida & nationwide locations to follow.

One party, one night, same theme, same time

at a Hooters (nationwide) near you

The previous post came off of floridajeepers.net just to let you all know. That isn't me saying I am setting it up. I was just letting you all know that there is something happening.

I know there is gonna be a HUGE show / swap in S. Charlotte in April, either 17th or the the 24th. I know there will be a balance beam, RTI ramp, Rock Pile, Mud Pit. There will be judging on a number of different catagories with prizes. The last count I heard was there were to be over 50sponsers allready lined up to be there. Its being held on 2 acres, and ppl have been questioning if that would be enough land...
if you need info, e-mail [email protected]
I'll find out what I can...

Its being organized by SoutheasternXJ...they are a new club, but quickly growing....I know that there website is not up yet...but from what I'm seeing, they have more to offer than any other club I've seen. I'm still trying to track down more info on it, and find out exactly what the dates are, I think its the 24th. I know about the toys that will be there, because they are mine. LOL...Not sure how much everything is gonna cost or anything like that. I met with some of them in Rock hill...There are a lot more XJ's around here than I thought....There were at least 40 of us in Walmarts parking lot...everything from stock to ppl with way to much time and money...

Well, since theres a big show goin oin in charlotte, I think I may scratch the plan for the statesville show. Unless you foaks tell me you still want to do it. Im lookin at May 22nd at this point.
