Pick a date guys. I'll leave it open until September 30th.

Meeting place? I put out there for some suggestions, still waiting for some choices. So far, the best suggestion appears to be the one made by RangerRick to meet at "All Phase Off Road" since there seems to be alot of interest in a north end location for the meeting. The dealership meeting rooms have worked out very well too, so that's another suggestion.

Issues to be discussed:
-Chapter T-Shirts
-Summary of Colorado Fest and planning for next year
-"Coffee Can" account status
-Chapter representation at Moab Fall Fling
-Colorado based events for next year (informal runs to sponsored events)
-Discuss Chapter Officer terms/elections (Bylaws suggest 1-2 year terms, but we haven't adopted a standard yet.)

Feel free to post your comments and suggestions here as well.

This ought to be a good meeting!

Being as I'm switching to weekends this month, I'm unable to attend on either date.

But I would like to participate and be a more active member.

I'll think about the list and write my suggestions here.

Hopefully, I can take a day off and make it.

Is there going to be a Chapter Rep for the Fall Fling ? How many are going ? Maybe this needs to be a seperate thread. Just curious.....

Hi my name is scott and iam from colorado but iam going to school in larmie wyoming. I have 2 XJ'S and was currious were you guys meet and how to join. i wont be able to make it to all the meetings. But iam verry interested in joining. If you can give me any information that would be helpfull. Thanks

Longmont's probably far enough north for most?

I could probably set it up at the Ford store in Greeley if need be. The meeting room's not as posh as Medved's, nor do we have an on-site cook. There is a BBQ grill though. :)

Welcome Scott!

We meet at various locations and occasionally on the trail. Meeting locations are not routine so keep an eye on the Colorado Chapter forums for meeting information. Currently, we're looking to have a meeting in October, either the 15th or 22nd in the northern part of the state - so this meeting would be about as close to you as it'll get for a year. Again, check out the Chapter forum for details.

Two ways you can "join" here at NAXJA - the first is registering as a forum user, which you've already done. You currently have access to all public forums including the Chapter forums. Membership requires you submit your application and fee either on line, or by mail. Click here: https://secure.naxja.org/html/naxjamemberapp.htm
for details.

You don't have to be a member to attend meetings or events, but it's encouraged.

Hope to see you in October!

Your gonna be hard pressed to have members drive to Wyoming for a Colorado Chapter Meeting............. :lecture:

Well since we were 'adopted' I figured I'd give it a shot...

Guess we'll just have to have our WY chapter of NAXJA - All 10 of us... LOL... :)

Yep.. I guess that is just the way it'll have to be Will. Can we create our own chapter? Does that mean that we get all Bobs parts in raffles? The odds are better.. Oh wait.. We already have his parts.. :D

From Co Spgs, Ft Fun or Cheyenne, ain't a whole hell of alot of difference.

I'm not sure if I'll be in CO for either of those weekends, might know more after this Monday, or I might not. :laugh3:

No, just means you'll have to drive more to the "core," or just only make Northern meetings. We have memebers in the very south of the state. They only come to the springs meets, nothing wrong with that. The point of moving it around is not so people don't get close ones all the time, while others are always making a road trip out of it. It so you don't have to make a road trip. Its close so you can make at least one meeting a year to stay in the loop about whats going on. If you can't drive to greeley or fort collins to make a meeting once a year. Then why should we drive out of state for you?

Don't mean that to sound harsh. But expecting the whole club to drive to your front door is not very conciderate to the group. That being said I hope to see you Wyoming folks at our next northern meeting............

Wow... This has gotten outta hand... I was being sarcastic about creating our chapter... Seems to be too much of a pissin' contest to set a place. I would like to have it in WY, and I'm sure everyone would like to have it in their backyard too... I won't be able to make it.

So how about those of you who will be able to make it decide. :)

Or maybe there could just be a set location so people know where it'll be held? Now that's an idea... ;)

That was brought up in the very beginning. However it was decided against. In the interest of keeping it fair to all members; the location is moved around the state. Therefore, someone, say from wyoming, wouldn't have to drive down the springs for EVERY single meeting............ :lecture:

Awrite you two, knock it off.

Will, it was clear you were kinda being sarcastic - I caught it anyways.

I don't think anyone is particularly opposed to having a meeting in Wyoming, but there'd have to be a large number of people willing to make the trek, or a large number of members close to that area. As it sits, the Denver metro area and the 'Springs have the largest collection of members, so in order to make a meeting available to the most people, we can't go crazy on distances.

Now, all I keep seeing/hearing is folks are jonesin' to have a meeting...... when am I gonna get some ideas for a meeting place? Someone sure could help me out by taking the torch and getting something arranged - I know very little about the north part of the state. If no one steps up, I don't wanna hear any bitchin' about where we end up if I gotta choose it.

Either weekend works for me. Although if you had a gun to my head and I had to choose I'd say the 22nd so that we have a weekend at home after Fall Fling...

Place doesn't matter, just do it at a reasonable hour please. Not 8am or 7pm, most will have a long drive home... As suggested above pick a place and announce it with directions.

I'll bring the WY contingent with me, we just need to know where to go, how to get there and what time to show up.

Is it OK to trailer to the meeting? :) The diesel even with the XJ on the trailer gets better mileage than driving the XJ.
