TNT Bob: No worries, I definitely will pick a place, I'm just trying to give our northern contingent the oportunity to make things convenient for themselves.... and at this rate, they're gonna miss their oportunity.

If I no one steps up with a location and arrangements by Sunday, I'll get in the phone book and start calling. I'll have a place selected by Tuesday night. However, if I gotta choose the location, it very well may end up south of Longmont. Thornton or Westminster maybe......

Where the heck is Prez. Tom when you need him? He usually offers up location suggestions...... And he's a rep for the northern contingent...sheesh.

Hmmm...I thought there was a mention of a place a week or so ago. Crawlertech, possibly?

How about that dodge dealership we threw the kickoff meeting at. That seemed like a good location between going north, but not to far north. Is this place no longer an option?

Johnson Auto Plaza

I'd love that spot.. considering it only about a mile from my house. With it being that close again, there's a good chance that I'd probably still be half asleep by the time I got there. nice! :D

Justin, you got all the fresh air you can handle, so no worries there... ;) OBTW if you're thinking you're going to be original with the sheep jokes, don't bother. :)

Nice one John.

91 Jeep Project, on second thought - never mind.

Troy, pick a place. I'd help you but really can't, to far away and don't know my way around that well (down there). The shop isn't a good option for this meeting. We're right in the middle of moving then. Besides that's a bit much to ask, especially for the southern guys, to drive that far. Tell ya what though if you guys wanna do an outdoors thing there are some group picnic areas along the Poudre Canyon (HWY 14) just out of Ft. Collins also along Big Thompson Canyon (HWY 34) just out of Loveland. I'd bring a grill.

There's a suggestion, anyone have any other suggestions or shall we carry on like 2 yr olds for another couple of pages?

Bob

Just trying to lighten things up a bit.
Are you all ready for Moab?

Me thinks I may have some semblance of a rig by this alleged meeting time. Depending on time and location (LOL) I will be there.

Yes, you can stop wondering, I have crawled out from under that rock... :)

Good to see you back in NAXJA. :)

Yes, the stories you have heard are true..I really do exist.

And why have you not stopped by the house in like forever???

You should come check out what new things I have in the garage ;)

Hey Tiff, haven't seen you around for a long time. Got an XJ anymore? Seems like the last few times I heard about it, you were being cursed by the jeep gods.

I figured I would let you guys have a go at setting it up. Several possible places. Along I-25, we could just meet at Del Camino, the Longmont exit and congregate in one of the fast food parking lots.

More scenic. Maybe head up to Hwy 66 and then west to Lyons. They have a nice park right down on the river. Not much in the way of fast food close, but pretty.

Loveland, hit the Sonic Drive-In. Or for a picnic place, there is a nice park by the river a few miles up the canyon. or hit the local park by the lake, a mile from my house.

Fort Collins, same old fast food crap, or head up the Poudre a few miles. For the adult crowd, a tour of the micro-breweries downtown might be good. OOPS, I forgot you have to drive home, bummer. Maybe Bullhide might not mind a few dozen crazy jeepers having a picnic on their grass.

My recommendation is either Longmont or Lyons. Longmont being the easiest for the directionaly disabled from down south. From there, people could strike out and maybe catch a trail or a scenic route back to Denver. Middle St. Vrain/Coney Flats is a fun little trail. Maybe somebody could lead a group up Storm Mountain. I hate to say it, but I have never run that trail.

Took a long break from anything Jeep to try to remove the Jeep Curse...then fell into the hell of the Bronco CUrse, which is far worse than anything the Jeep Curse could throw at me.

I have a new toy in the garage and am working on a plan to get it built up in short order.

What kind of toy? What parts are you looking for?

Can we at least pin down a date so I can request the day off? Whatever day is coming up soon...

Congrats on getting back into the XJ world Tiff; you can have your XJ Bad Luck back now...it's been killing me.

As posted, Sept. 30th is the close of the poll. It would appear the 22nd will be the date. Take a gamble or chill out until the 30th.

I'm working on reserving a corner of the Chili's restaurant in Westminster on 88th for the meeting. Details to follow once the management gets back to me.
