44s & a 3 link

Yeah I ran some BBs in my 35" MTZs on soft 8s.

Worked mint. I bent the rims several times, hammered them back, and drove to work the next day with no vibes.

And caster could definitely have something to do with it. I have no idea what people shoot for, but I remember having somewhere around 4º in my XJ and it worked well.

i run nothing with 38" creepies and shits mint on the street as long as you power through 50 to 55 mph lolz

5-7 degrees is more better

Ive got ~2500 .12 gram airsoft bbs in each tire.

Ive been measuring caster by the bottom of the lower ball joint, which is a flat surface, which i believe is a good point for measuring caster, but if anyone else has a better idea, that doesnt require me putting it on an allignment machine, please tell.

I also want to make a new trackbar with heims on both ends. Having a rubber/poly/whatever bushing on one end is stupid.

Mine is fine, no vibes, no nothing, 50 comes around i get some wobbling and vibrating, and then once 60 comes around theres no more bumpsteer, but the vibes from my DS kick in.

you don't have bumpsteer. Bumpsteer exists at all speeds plus you angles looked fine.

When i look outside at the wheel, its wobbling back and forth, very slightly, but then dissapears when goinjg faster of slower, during that time i also feel a shimmy in the wheel.

That is death wobble.

Bump steer is when you hit a bump and your vehicle turns as it cycles through the suspension travel and back when the suspension unloads.

Oooooh okay, i thought they were the same thing.

I never had any wobbles before the rim stiffeners.

I also changed my caster slightly, im at 5 degrees. Im going to go back to 7, and give myself a 1/8th toe in.

Nope. Definitly different.

Search for 'Death Wobble' and you'll see a million causes of it.

You added a lot of weight to the wheels. Chances are when they were welded the welds aren't all exactly the same so it's like putting an extra wheel weight on the rim in the wrong spot.

Put 2000 air soft BBs in each tire and be happy.

Ive already got BBs in the tires, still wobbles like a bitch.

Can anyone reccomend me some good alloy shafts for the rear? Thinking yukon?

FAIL

superior, tenfactory, nitro, moser.

i'd say stock is stronger than yukon from personal experience and seeing other peoples rigs break

I wouldn't worry about the Yukon stuff, They have improved their MFRing process. They had some bad inventory out of a few overseas company that they fired.

Hmm the only other thing I can think of would be to have a friend turn the wheel back and forth while you look for any kind of play in the front end.

I've never run anything from Yukon but I follow what Sam says on this kind of topic. If it's good enough for him it'll never fail me. :dunce:

did you ever have the truck aligned or at least do a driveway alignment?
