Did you not have a center console or take it out cause i am 6 ft and cant sleep in mine cause of the console. I am very interested in how you accomplished this.

Sp does the platform raise your head above the back seat when its folded forward?

It looks like he removed the part of the back seat that's removable. Not the one with two bolts but the one with the lever on one side and a pin on the other side.

do you sleep with hatch open? I'm 5'9" and i had to sleep diagonal with the butt portion of the seat removed if i wanted to fully stretch. Adding a cage and shocks back there didn't help but i still fit.

I take the backseat out, fill the gap between the bottom rear seat and the back of the front seats with whatever (sweatshirts, etc) and sleep cross ways. I'm 6'2" 300# and don't find it comfy but have done it in a pinch more than a couple times, lol! The key is your thermarest!

thats pretty cool, so the entire back area becomes one comfy memory foam mattress thing. I want to see if I even fit in the back of my jeep laying down but this would be nice for making quick camp , If i actually want to unload all of the crap I carry.

Keep in mind guys, sleeping in your heep never beats a quality tent. Glass and metal are HORRIBLE insulators. The coldest nights I've ever spent in the mountains have been IN my heep.

I know it may seem hard to believe, but a QUALITY tent beats your heep every time.

For those that have a cage. A hammock should work. .
I to am too tall to fit. Hatch open would work but not ideal

cars are not good insulators, i have this for gf and lazy camping trips, with lots of blankets, ,
i designed my roof rack to fit my backpacking tent, i need to finish it though and add expanded metal
