Not sure what it's actually called but need some suggestions. The front hose on valve cover that gets air from the intake.

I have replaced air box with Summit racing inline filter. I currently removed the front hose and just have a small filter on the valve cover fitting... not in pic.

What I need to do is replace the filter and stock hose. I need to drill into intake add fitting and new hose to valve cover.

I saw another post somewhere that had a replacement hose actually was braided but can't find now. I am open to suggestions for the fitting. Is it just a plumbing type fitting or is there an automotive type I can get?

When I bought my spectre cowl intake it was supposed to come with a braided hose, but the package had a rubber hose (that was too big) and a note that they were out. I just went to the Napa and bought a foot and a half of hose that fit. I don't like a lot of shiny stuff under my hood so I was happy with the hose.

I don't know what kind of fittings you could get and I'm kind of surprised that summit doesn't have something that would fit. If I were in your situation I would probably just get a breather filter and put it in some hose and hide it somewhere out of sight so it wouldn't look like a tuner race car.

Random side topic: Are you still using those bumpers I sold you a few years ago?

I removed mine and went with a breather filter from Autozone, so far everything is running fine and I don't have a hose to worru about anymore.

Pep Boys sells a little kit with multiple fittings and such just for that purpose, I think it was like 9.99 or something.

the breather filter is fine for now but not in water. The Ozark rally I expect water so need to waterproof.

Iluv83vettes I sold those bumpers with my old jeep... I assume still working for him but not sure if he even wheels???

Lol, are you talking about old blue and my buddy Sam?

That's unfortunate. Those were good bumpers.

I'm sure he'll get it out. It was only as of Saturday morning.
