i did a search, didn't find what i was looking for. just wondering if anyone knows if 34x9.5 swamper tsls will fit on a 98 cherokee with a RE 4.5 lift. I've heard that 33x10.5 fit, but i'm looking for something different, and thought the narrower inch would make up for the taller inch. also, are the narrow s.s. tires the same as the radials, or are they an anomaly to themselves...any comments on driveability and road noise are welcome.

You will definately rub with 34's, regardless of thinness. I have minor rubbing with 23x11.5 on 15x8 w/ 4.5 BS on an RE 4.5 lift. If you are willing to trim however, you can do it no problem... As far as TSL's for road noise -- LOUD! Still, not bad on the street depending on what your tolerances are. In my experience they are a bit slick on wet roads.

I should have mentioned, I don't mind cutting, just wondering if i could get away with minimal, like stay below the pinch seam...

I'm running 34x9.5's with 4" and lots of trimming. I might do a little more front bumpstop work. With the wheels fully turned and flexed, the big lug of the three stage lugs wants to pull the top center of the fender in. Think I have worked it out though. I love the tires.

Actually I just run really fat fingers... oh and 32's :dunce:

Question on cutting...does a sawzall work fairly well? I know air shears are better, but i don't have one...

with narrow tires you shouldnt have to cut as much as I did. And don't get skeer'd at the "cut" word if you havent done it before. It really was pretty easy, and it was my first time cutting on a vehicle of any kind.

Use air shears!!
