Heres my deal im going to put on a rubicon 5.5 long arm kit on my 2000 jeep xj and was wandering if i should just step up to a 35 general grabber or a 33 general grabber
How do you know?
Well you did want someone to ask.![]()
Because I went with 33"s. I did so because it was a lot less work to fit them and I was working on a 'budget'
unfortunately everyone I wheel with is running 35"s or greater, so I am constantly the smallest rig on the trail.
now, I am working on fitting 35"s where 33"s just barely fit (bald ones I might add).
how hard is it to fit a 35
35s require a lot mor money to run properly than a 33 IMO.
With 35s a regear is pretty much required, as well as upgraded brakes, chromoly axle shafts... unless you wheel at the mall.
33s are less rotating mass, my jeep was quicker with 33s and 3.73s, then it is now 35s and 4.88s
Id stick to 33s, wheel your jeep, if you want to push it further, then go to 35s.
