3.5" lift... what all does it affect.

This project is coming along slowly but surely.
I've replaced / or have ready all of the components on the front end.
Inner axle seal
Ball Joints upper and lower
Tie rod and drag link ends
UCA bushings body and axle
axle U joints
front hub bearings

Ordering my lift today.

I currently have the front axle pulled off, and debating about any thing else I should do while I have it apart and out of the way? I've got a few oil leaks, I think the valve pan cover is the source of most of it, but the rear main seal probably needs done. Do I replace the rear main seal now while I have the axle off, or just wait until after I do the valve cover gasket and see how bad the leak is. I HATE leaks.

I would also like to replace that ugly dented up exhaust down pipe.

Go ahead and do it now while steering and such is out of way.
I would check lower control arm mound at axle and make sure they don't need any welds or supports.

I was afraid someone would say that.

I guess that gives me something to do while I wait on the shipping.

The LCA mounts look good, I took a wire brush and cleaned up the axle and sprayed a coat of primer. Its not pretty but it should slow down any future rust.

PM yellaheep, Fred or 40calpatriot and ask them to move it on over...

Now is the perfect time to do the rear main seal! One of the headaches of doing the RMS is getting the oil pan past the front axle. It's not so bad on a lifted Cherokee, but you'll thank yourself for doing it while it is this easy.

As for the down pipe, they come from the factory with that "dent." I'm not really sure why, I think it is to clear the front drive shaft.

yep. it's there to clear the front driveshaft -- funny "engineering", no?

I placed the below order with Serious Offroad on Sunday night. Parts were here before noon today. I forgot to order the 4 degree shims, but I have time to do that later, or maybe get them someplace local? I'm currently up to my elbows in the friggin oil pan, and rear main seal nightmare for now.

the Zman is like a dwarf at christmas -- pure speed and efficiency!

IIRC I cut them down, heated them up and then used a tie rod puller to push them out.
