so i finished swapping in the wj booster/mc combo and zj prop valve spring
to accompany my rear discs on the 44....

bled the heck out of the MC, the prop valve, and the rear and front lines. pedal seems a little soft but the damn jeep stops so much better now
id love a second person who might be familiar with the swap afterward for me to drive it over and have yah take a quick look?
(want to stay in sacramento area)
already i can tell it that i finally am using those rear discs!

What year WJ did you get the booster from? Seems like each year of production of the WJ the brakes got a little better. A big complaint of the early build WJs, 99-02 was a soft brake pedal (along with warped brake rotors). The last year of production of the WJ, 2004, is the one to get.

you know what i thought the guy at J and W said it was either a 2000 or a 2004.
i dont mind it being soft if it stops very well. im gonna take it for a test drive soon and see how it does, last night around the block a few times seemed way better

With mine I bled it at each wheel multiple times prior to driving. My pedal still seemed a little spongy tho. After a couple of weeks driving around I re-bled the brakes using the old fashioned way (daughter pushing the pedal and me bleeding at each wheel). It firmed up the pedal quite a bit. Had to get those last little pita bubbles out I guess. With the 95 dual diaphram booster and a stock 95 prop valve I can still lock up the rear on dry pavement if I try hard enough. I tried to put a disc-disc prop valve in and it popped the rubber end off of it and sprayed brake fluid forward to the radiator and still haven't figured out why. (bad valve?) Good luck with yours.

ill keep bleeding them
sounds like the plan.
i think that will probably do it.

Both mine and my Dads we bled the brakes around 4 times at each corner. There was still air in those lines until the final time, but it took a lot of bleeding for it all to finally come out.

If your brakes sucked as much as mine did you will love the WJ booster!

you know what i actually have a mitty vac,
just never used it to bleed brakes, how the hell do i use the damn thing lol?
hahaha
i cant wait to have good brakes,
they are still a little funky,
but better already
i can easily see having to bleed it four times, makes sense with how soft they are now
so excited about the zj spring and finally getting real use outta those rear discs.

I find when I bleed brakes the old fashion way it works great or I gravity bleed it. Sometimes when I do a brake job with new calipers or wheel cylinders I will power bleed them to get fluid there then just let it gravity bleed and watch little bubbles leave the system. For some reason sucking the fluid through works great for flushing but doesnt always get air out.

i bled them again today,
process:
pump down
open bleeder, close bleeder
let pedal up
did that at all four corners
in addition to the major bleed the other night where we just pumped and pumped out the old dirty fluid until it ran clean
took 3 of the bigger bottles of fluid
not a ton of air came out today, but the brakes are even better now
love it
i figure next week ill bleed it out again
to check for air

so now that the new brake stuff is done i started swapping in the tnt long arm kit
tapped front nutserts after pulling the belly skid i made and the t case skid i made
had to cut front mount for rock sliders off.
bolted up belly skid and started marking off the holes
started drilling holes
its close to 1am, and i got alot of hw to do
try to finish it tomorrow night
