Nope, that's how they were run on (IIRC) the later BJs. I believe the one shown above is actually made by Beijing Auto Works as the Qishi - my recollection is that they took over or copied the design from Beijing Jeep when they finally put the BJ out of production. Looks like that one may have received a custom or aftermarket grille.
