2017 NWFEST dates

You know this is the utmost in irony. We make a point to not be there the weekend of the MC guys and they can't handle their members enough to be consistent as they have been for "20yrs" and change their weekend. Now we are stuck trying to find a spot so we can gather without distractions. IRONY!

Ya it sucks. But we are the group that are easier to move.
And if we had been getting the permits every year they couldn't have changed weekends. So some of it is our groups fault.

That's pretty much what happened, had we maintained our permit the bike group would have kept running fathersday weekend,we left it wide open for them.

What sucks is the forest service is not issuing any new event permits for at least a year and a half and our permits are too old to be reinstated so we are forced to go without one.

Thanks for sharing this info, I guess that's a note for the BOD to stay on top of and keep current if NWF continues to be in that area.

To hold an event you should have a permit, this means the Forest service has done a study on the environmental impacts and any other concerns your event may have on the location in question and have deemed it ok for your purposes.

Technically you don't have to have an event permit until you break 75 people in attendance but it is good to have anyway and keeps your club and event in the forest services system.

Bingo

Waste of time and money.. we haven't needed a permit since the northend used to attend... nowadays it's no where near that size.

Other than the raffle, but there's ways to make that work legally..
