2014 Crawl... Big news!

The business doesn't get any better in person. I showed up on my reservation date 2 years ago and a 5th wheel was parked in my spot and I got told just to find a place to park and hopefully I could reach an outlet.

What was the outcome on this? I'm not hauling the camper all the way to not get an rv site

There was an open RV spot next to the garage so I pulled in and parked and plugged in. The frustrating part for me was knowing that he told me that a lady in an RV showed up without a reservation, he told her where to park and when she decided she couldn't pull the RV into that spot, she parked wherever she wanted to and he wouldn't go make her move so I could hang out with my peeps.

He wrote me today to say that when he changed the prices on the website that the online reservation system requires manual month by month updates. He'd only manually updated through May 2014, but now it's updated to January 2015.
 
By god if I get there and don't have a cabin then we're going to have a serious problem...

I had to deal with this crap at Jeepfest in Jasper GA. I ain't doing it again.

It seems like the majority of folks are rolling in Wednesday? Perhaps I need to add one more night to out stay.
 
Nick and I are planning on the whole week. Monday and Tuesday mainly for set up and if anybody else decides to come earlier at the last minute.
 
Ill be driving in on Monday night and arriving early Tuesday morning. For the record, I've never had a problem with any of my reservations in the last the years that I've gone.
 
We're going to arrive on Sunday June 29th and leave Sunday July 6th. 4 days just wasn't enough last year (well...this year LOL).
 
We'll be leaving late Saturday night June 28th and arriving hopefully around 10 AM Sunday the 29th. We will check out Sunday July 6th. 4 days last year (well...this year actually)just wasn't enough.

CAN'T WAIT!!
 
Hmm, well, I can't swing the whole week with the kids. They'd be about to loose their minds. I'm going to be pushing it by staying Wednesday thru Sunday.

So, I reserved Wednesday night as well...

x2 While I have heard of some issues with Stephen and his brother and reservations I have never experienced them. I have had nothing but good experiences with the campground.
 
I've always just shown up and got a tent site no problem. I'll be there sun to sun this year. Nick and Tim if you guys need help setting up I'll be around. I'm planning on doing some exploring and that 33 mile trail at kingdom come. Monday or Tuesday.

I would like to do the kingdom trail as well. I'm thinking set-up will mostly include the portable pavilion and walking the campground with Stephen so we can park the tow pigs and tent campers in a somewhat organized fashion. Hang banners and whatnot.

Kingdom trail? Is that in the OHV park just outside Harlan? Sounds interesting, link?
