It should also be noted that this all takes place on JIM's mothers property.(Jim actually lives just across the road.) She's nice enough to put up with us and let us do our thing each year. Be nice to Doris.

Unless you're dead set on having one before the Gig, I suggest waiting until after the Gig. At the Gig, there will be several different flavors to get touchy-feely with. Find one you like, then go buy one. You're more than welcome to run a clip or 5 through my Ruger 10/22.

Is anyone gonna be camping/hanging out later Saturday night? I want to visit my sister while I'm down that way, and would like to be able to tell her when to expect me.
I will have enough beer to supply a traditional MWC campfire night, but if everyone is leaving early, I'll just head over to my sister's. :dunno:

we will be leaving early afternoon to make the 6-7 hour trek back home. But I can tell you this...my cheese source just dropped off new cheese this evening and wifey is in the kitchen whipping up the peanut butter cookies w/ the Reeses Cups melted in the center of them....chances are the container will be opened a few times in route to the Pig Gig

We put the pig on as early as we can. Usually around 8am.
Normally have to make a run to town to get the last minute things, while the pig is cooking. Then after Travis does his yearly gun cleaning, we usually start shooting rifles/pistols. Pig is uaually done around 12:30-1:30. We eat. After we're stuffed with pig, we shoot clays until the weather runs us off or we run out of shells/clays. Might be a few still plinking with the rilfes/pistols after clays.
Now, that's just the way it went down in years past. Not saying that that is a set schedule for this year by any means. We just wing it.
